Lindsey's Sweet Sixteen!

The day was GREAT! Lindsey and I had a relaxing morning with our massages! It's so funny to see how a 16 year old who has never been to a spa before react to her surrondings...... The staff brought us some cucumber water and I thought Lindsey was going to be sick after she took a sip! It was quite amusing to see the look on her face! After our services, we opted to relax in a steam shower before Lindsey was scheduled for her hair appointment.....the morning was absolutely perfect!

Lindsey drove us from the spa to the hair salon and once we arrived I had decided that the car ride was enough for me to have to go back to the spa..... MY GOODNESS!! We have a lot of practicing to do! :) Lindsey loves to get her hair done ( something I HATE to do ) so the rest of the morning was quite relaxing for her!
We didnt make it to Chipolte (YES!) so while Lindsey was having her color process I ran to get her the next best thing..... A Crispy Ranch Chicken Wrap from Mickey D's......ahhhh to be 16 again! After the hair was complete we needed to hurry home for her makeup appointment! What a day! It was nothing short of preparing for her wedding day....false eyelashes and all!The "VIP" guests began to arrive and we were on our way to Pazzaluna.... a little late, but believe it or not that was DADDY'S fault! :-) Lindsey looked absolutely stunning in her black and red dress....

We had a faboulous dinner, good laughs and great conversation! The setting was absolutely beautiful with the outdoor skating rink and Rice Park all lit up right across the street, it was truly something out of a fairytale!

After dinner we were on our way home to meet the rest of the guests that would be joining us for the evening! Once home, we were greeted by Peityn, Carson and Kaedin who were all ready to party!Carson was having a blast doing the "Party Boy" with all the big kids!
Kaedin has had a crush on Lindsey's best friend Rachel since day one! He spent the majority of the evening showing Rachel his dance moves!

The chocolate fountain was a big hit at the party.....while it lasted at least :-)

There ended up being plenty of chocolate left over so what would you think 16 year olds might do with it???

Why, put their faces in it of course!!!

The evening was a big hit! And although at the end of the evening we were quite exhausted, it was all worth it to see the look on her face throughout the night. Lindsey had a beautiful birthday!
Mission Accomplished!

Jessica-so glad that I found your blog! I can't believe what is going on in your life. It breaks my heart to hear that she lost her mom but it seems like you have done an awesome job of trying to help her through her first year without her mom. How did she die? You are blessed with a full life and four awesome kids. I hope you don't mind if I hop over and see whats new with you and your fam now and then.
